Course Overview
Food as medicine is not new, but how many of us really understand how to use food and nutrition not only to boost the body’s natural ability to heal but also for preventative and complementary therapy? In this unique course you can learn how to manage eating patterns to help the body heal from common complaints, to manage conditions and to complement other treatments in response to health issues.

There are 9 lessons and assessments to complete in this course:
Lesson 1: Introduction to Therapeutic Nutrition
Lesson 2: Allergies and Intolerances
Lesson 3: Diabetes
Lesson 4: Heart Disease, Hyperlipidemia and Arteriosclerosis
Lesson 5: Renal/Kidney Conditions
Lesson 6: Cancer
Lesson 7: Digestive Disorders & Diet – Oesophagus, Small Intestine, Colon
Lesson 8: Other Metabolic Conditions (eg. Liver, Gall bladder, Pancreas, etc)
Lesson 9: Strategic Diet planning for a medical condition
Entry requirements
There are no general entry requirements for this course, just your drive, motivation, and passion for the industry. You may enrol into this course at any time and begin studying shortly after enrolment.
Duration study load
We allow up to 12 months to complete this course, although your actual completion time may be less depending on prior experience and the time you commit to your study. Approx 100 hours.
