Starting a small business is a no-ordinary feat. It entails training and sufficient background to navigate one’s way around the different aspects of a business. This certificate program for New Small Business equips you with the right skills and knowledge to become a successful entrepreneur.
Enrolment
Enrolment to this certificate program is for a maximum of 24 months. Students must aim to complete modules by the nominated completion date and demonstrate ongoing progression towards completion. However, an extension may be awarded at the trainer’s discretion.
Resources Required
All students are required to have a computer or tablet with access to the internet and a program that can open and edit Word documents (this does not have to be Microsoft Office).
Delivery Options
Blended
This certificate program is delivered by our online program. You do not need to come to class; however, you need to stay in contact with your Educator and attend phone and/or web meetings to complete some of the practical components of your course. Our blended learning allows you the flexibility of completing your course at your own pace at times that suit work and other life commitments. You can work on your course anywhere at any time with the support of your industry-experienced Educator via telephone and email communication.
Distance
Distance learning allows you to have the same amount of convenience and flexibility as blended learning. The only difference is that instead of receiving your materials and assessment electronically, they will be posted to you. Distance learning is perfect for students that prefer to have hard copy resources. However, participants wishing to complete their certificate program via distance instead of blended will incur additional material and postage fees up to the value of $25.00 per unit.
RPL
Consider taking the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) if you have lots of skills and experience but no formal qualification. RPL is a process whereby you demonstrate having the required skills and knowledge of particular units/qualifications within the industry that you are experienced. RPL focuses on your life and work experiences and how they meet the criteria of the national qualifications.
